May 25, 2019 Ok - as someone recently purchased a late 2006 iMac that only upgrades to 10.7 Lion with the intention of using it as my daily driver (yes, really, and it works like a charm), I feel I am very qualified to answer this question. I have tested: Goog. Internet Explorer for Mac OS X (also referred to as Internet Explorer for Macintosh, Internet Explorer Macintosh Edition, Internet Explorer:mac or IE:mac) is an unsupported inactive proprietary web browser developed by Microsoft for the Macintosh platform. Initial versions were developed from the same code base as Internet Explorer for Windows.

Deleting Safari and reinstalling it will probably not solve your problem. If you have not deleted Safari yet, please do not do that!
First, just try holding down the shift key while opening Safari. This will prevent it from trying to open any pages that were open when it last quit. Your problem could be nothing more than Safari re-opening a page that was open from a previous browsing session. Download flir tools for mac.
If that doesn't work, see:
Go through all the tests there, and if they indicate that you may have adware installed, proceed to the adware guide it refers you to.

If you have already deleted Safari, just hold down command-R at startup to enter recovery mode, then reinstall the system. Installing right on top of your existing system will replace any items that may have been deleted or damaged, and will leave all your other apps and documents alone.

I really hate having to buy new macs every few years. Between the machines and the software it is a big investment and a whole lot of time setting things up and learning how to use it.
I usually keep my macs as long as I can. My only problem now is the browsers. Firefox, Chrome and Safari don't seems to want to support 10.5.8. At least FF and Safari run but there are some sites I visit that don't work well with those old versions and the new versions can't be installed on 10.5.8. Any suggestions on a browser that will let my macs live a little longer? Comments are closed.
